Thursday, 8 September 2022 The Master and Doctoral Study Program in Mathematics Education attended an online lecture with the theme Ethnomathematics and School Mathematics by Prof.Dr. Milton Rosa & Prof. Dr. Daniel Clark Orey from Universidade federal de Ouro Preto (UFOP), Brazil. The lecture was related to the course Study of Mathematics Learning Problems and Innovative Mathematics Learning Strategies. In the short lecture, which lasted about 60 minutes, gave an overview to students that Ethnomathematics in mathematics learning focuses on honing student skills from social interactions where the main foundation refers to cultural diversity and social environments that affect character and mindset. Hopefully, students will be able to apply ethnomathematics in learning mathematics in the classroom.
