Halal Bihalal Family of Mathematics Education Department FMIPA UNY: Strengthening Friendship in the Month of Shawwal

To strengthen the relationship in the blessed month of Shawwal, the Department of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Yogyakarta State University (UNY) held a halal bihalal event attended by lecturers, education staff, and retired lecturers from all the big family of the Department of Mathematics Education. The event held at Mbah Moeh Rumah Makan & Resto, Jalan Piyungan Prambanan, took place warmly on Thursday, May 01, 2025, from 09.00 WIB to 12.00 WIB.

The event opened with a warm welcome from the Chief Executive, Prof. Dr. Hartono, M.Si., who expressed his gratitude for the presence of all participants. Furthermore, remarks were given by the Chairperson of the Mathematics Education Department, Dr. Sri Andayani, M.Kom., who expressed the importance of establishing friendships between the extended family members of the Mathematics Education Department to strengthen togetherness and support academic activities at UNY.

The event agenda then continued with the recitation of the Qur'an and Tilawah, which added to the sacred atmosphere before entering the anticipated session, a lecture by AR. Sugeng Riyadi, S.Pd., M.Ud., is also the husband of Prof. Dr. Kana Hidayati, M.Si. In his lecture, AR. Sugeng Riyadi conveyed the wisdom of the Syawalan celebration and the importance of maintaining good relations between people in the academic world and daily life.

After the lecture, the event continued with a greeting session between participants, group photos, and hospitality. Participants seemed to enjoy being together while enjoying the dishes provided. Not only that, the event was even more lively with door prizes and various interesting games held to entertain the entire department's big family who attended. For those who dared, there was also an opportunity to sing together, adding to the warmth of the atmosphere.

With the end of the series of events, Dr. Syukrul Hamdi, M.Pd., as the closing of the event, led a prayer together as a hope that the friendship that was established would be closer and bring blessings. Hopefully, this event will be a forum to strengthen togetherness, increase enthusiasm, and continue to support the development of better education in the future.
