The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Yogyakarta State University (UNY) once again held the Regular Introduction to Campus Life for New Master's and Doctoral Students (PKKMB) 2025 on Monday, August 11, 2025. This activity aims to provide academic insights and introduce the campus environment to new students in all Master's and Doctoral programs at FMIPA UNY. The PKKMB will be held in a hybrid format, offline at the Ballroom of the Master's and Doctoral Building, 4th Floor, FMIPA UNY, and online via Zoom Meeting for new students who cannot attend in person.

This year's PKKMB carries the theme "Level Up With Science: Think Deep, Act Bold, Impact More." The theme reflects the spirit of developing critical thinking, courage to act, and fundamental scientific contributions. Since early morning, the atmosphere in the Ballroom of the Master's and Doctoral Building was filled with the enthusiasm of new students who came with high spirits to begin their academic journey. The event was attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, and new students from various study programs.

One of the engaging sessions in this event was a presentation by a guest speaker on the topic of "Quarter Life Crisis in the Perspective of Self-Development and Career". This material provided important insights for new students in understanding the psychological dynamics and career challenges often faced at a productive age, and strategies to deal with them positively.

After the presentation by the guest speaker, new students of the Master of Mathematics Education Study Program received a more in-depth introduction to the curriculum, lecture system, and research opportunities in the field of mathematics education. They also had the chance to discuss directly with the Study Program Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Agus Maman Abadi, M.Si., about the challenges and strategies of studying at the master's level.

With the successful implementation of the 2025 Regular PKKMB for Master's and Doctoral Students, it is hoped that new students at FMIPA UNY will be better prepared to face academic challenges, develop their potential, and actively contribute to advancing knowledge in their respective fields. This PKKMB is not merely a campus orientation agenda but also the beginning of their long journey as intelligent, integrity-driven, and impactful academic individuals for society. (Johannes G./HnR)
