Mendeley Training for New Students of Mathematics Education Class of 2019

Mendeley's training for new students of the 2019 PM Study Program was held a week before the beginning of the lecture on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 in the Theater Room, Innovative Building or known as the GLB (Guest Lecture Building). The main objective is to provide provisions to students regarding the search for national and international journal references that will be used as references in lectures, article writing, and thesis preparation. From 70 participants, 12 students have participated in National Seminars, 7 students have been speakers at national seminars, 4 students have participated in international seminars, and only 1 student has been a presenter at international seminars. As for the requirements to graduate S2 is the first author of articles published in the Journal of Sprott 1-2, International Journal, or Scopus Indexed Proceedings.

This training was delivered by Syarief Fajaruddin, S.Pd. assisted by three PM 2018 Study Program students; namely M. Ikhsan Sahal Guntur, Darwis Cahyo N, and Nur Afni. The students were guided using the Mendeley program that was installed on their laptops before the activity began. One of the students, Br. Hadi Nur Rahman, volunteered to practice in front of the forum how to use Mendeley. The other participants imitated using their respective laptops. At the end of the activity, students were asked to learn to explore Mendely according to their respective interests. (sgm)
